whoa....
hmm, not sure if I like it or not....
*shrug* it's different, that's for sure. I'd have to wait a few days to see if I like it or not... That's the way I am, I have to sleep on some things before I know if I like 'em or not. Heehee.

I first saw some of that art style about a year ago...
I still can't stand it...
Tsuzuki is just not supposed to be a bizarrely deformed-faced blonde! You're supposed to be able to tell which is Tsuzuki and which is Hisoka without reading the captions...
my $.02 anyway...

aa... risu-chan.. tsuzuki did NOT transform into a blonde guy, it's just a 'tradition' of a mangaka who likes to try many different colours to a character's hair just like in illustration book, especially in shoujo manga, it's common if you see a character's hair is black in a picture and it's green in another picture
anyway... this drastic change in art also gave me a heart attack back then

I actually heard in one ML that the calendar wasn't done by her. She handed the drawing of the calender to another artist so she could concentrate on something else.
Personally, I doubt that her change in style could be that drastic. That picture has absolutely nothing in common to her signature work.

It looks to me that the style is a lot more shounen-manga-ish than before. I really hope her style really didn't change THIS much!

I must confess to not liking that calander at all.
HOWEVER.
I would just like her to continue with the story no matter what the art style is - its been a long time since volume 11 was published and I managed to trace some of the translations of the later chapters that never been collected in a book form but I am still left hanging off a cliff.
I'd like to know how it all ends - I'd like to own a complete story...
and I'd like Muraki back - I miss him. he is still my no. 1 murderous psycho >_<

Hey guys. Here's some links to a livejournal that explains a little about the Yami no Matsuei cancellation:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/yukihyou/54206.html
http://www.livejournal.com/users/yukihyou/54330.html
This is not true for sure, however. I'm still very iffy about the whole thing, but you gotta admit, this sounds pretty solid. -_-;;
I hope it's not true. Anyways, I also found this fanart realting to the situation:

^ You'll probably have to cut and paste that link.
Hee hee...

Icky art style! Icky! Yeah, it's more realistic, but if we wanted realism, why the hell would we be reading manga?
On a side note, though, colorized pics are rarely the character's actual hair color. For example, Yuki in Gravitation is always portrayed in colored shots (and in the anime) as a blond, yet the manga states quite a few times that his hair is brown. Brown-haired characters being colored as blond does seem to be the most common, though. I mean, what, do most mangaka think brown hair isn't aescetically (sp?) pleasing? *fingers his own massive brown hair and whimpers*
And why was my side note longer than my actual point, anyway? For that matter, why is this my second or third post after I said I would go to bed?
